Stop Recurring BV Infections Permanently

Do You Suffer With Recurring Bacterial Vaginosis Infections?

Many women suffer  recurring BV infections that can significantly affect her entire life.

What is Bacterial Vaginosis or BV as it is Known?

Bacterial vaginosis or BV is considered a mild vaginal infection by medical experts caused by an imbalance of bacteria in a woman’s vagina.

Normally our vagina has both good and bad bacteria that is perfectly balanced, this is known as the vaginal flora. When our flora is balanced the good bacteria keeps the harmful bacteria under control.

For reasons unknown, harmful bacteria is allowed to grow out of control and thus a BV infection occurs.

Symptoms of a BV Infection

  • Vaginal Discharge

Recurring BV Infection TreatmentDo you wonder if your vaginal discharge is a BV infection or a Candida or yeast infection? When trying to discern which vaginal infection you have it can oftentimes be difficult. Many women with an active BV infection are unaware they have an infection to begin with! Yes, it is possible to have a BV infection and not know it!

However, the most common symptoms of a BV infection are the following:

A watery white to greyish discharge

The discharge has a strong odor, often referred to as a ‘fishy’ smell.

The odor is often stronger after sex which tends to make the woman avoid intercourse until she has cleared the BV infection. Needless to say when you have such a strong fishy scent you are not going to feel very feminine and will often become overly self-conscious about it at work and at home.

Women often resort to constant bathing and scrubbing of the vagina with soaps, perfumes and sprays. It may help you feel better for a few minutes but it simply will not last! The odor is caused by the harmful bacteria and until you get that under control you will never completely eliminate the smell.

  • Vaginal soreness or irritation
  • Strong Fishy Odor

Women that experience recurring bacterial vaginosis infections need to commence a series of things to help totally eliminate their BV. There is no one stop cure for BV. Antibiotics will kill off all the bacteria in the vagina and elsewhere in your body but this just triggers yeast or candida infections. Besides, recurring BV cannot be treating with antibiotics every time as it simply is not good for our systems!

If you look at our BV Cycle chart you will begin to comprehend we are often on a roller-coaster ride with the recurring bacterial vaginosis infections. We get our first BV infection, visit our doctor and are prescribed antibiotics. They temporarily kill off all bacteria the good and the harmful, leaving us open to further bacterial infections such as yeast or Candida.

Rarely do doctors use common sense and tell you to immediately start a probiotic regimen to create good healthy bacteria. We have our monthly period or have intercourse and suddenly we notice that horrible small again. Going back to your family physician will result in yet more antibiotics to kill off the new bacterial infection. You are now well and truly on the recurring or persistent BV cycle.

Herbal Natural Remedies for BV Infections

There are many herbal, natural home remedies for BV infections that do work for some women. We are all different so what works for one may not work for you.

The important thing with BV is to replace the good bacteria after using antibiotics or adding good bacteria into your system so they can get back into control over the harmful bacteria.

There is also such a thing as too much good bacteria! So please don’t go overboard on your treatment for BV.

My suggestion is to take a good probiotic both orally and vaginally. Secondly build your system up with a good multivitamin.

Drink plenty of fluids, water and cranberry juice.

See your doctor if your BV  symptoms do not clear up within a week or so as there can be complications of BV especially if you are pregnant or undergoing any abdominal surgery.
