WaterWorks Review Eliminate Vaginal Odor Naturally and Quickly
As you may know I have made it my goal to find solutions for recurring BV infections and to put an end to women suffering from the emotional pain of vaginal odor and discharge.
If you have ever suffered a BV infection you will know how demoralizing it can be. It not only affects you personally but it makes a huge impact on your intimate relationships and can also make you extremely uneasy in public. Running back and forth to the washroom to wash, spray and powder is not an option that we can live with on a daily basis.
We need a solution to the embarrassing odor and discharge. During my research I came across a product that does not boast as being a cure for BV infections. However, there are many, many satisfied women that clearly state this product did cure their BV infections once and for all and eliminated the embarrassing fishy odor. It came to my attention with a TV show called The Doctors.
Dr. Donnica Moore, Woman’s Health Expert highly recommended the product Water Works for Health as being great for eliminating vaginal odor.
What is WaterWorks?
There are two factors involved in the success of WaterWorks for Feminine Health.
Firstly, water works is a special douching tool that allows you to rinse the vagina with fresh water. Now I know in previous posts I did not advocate douching as this forces the bacteria higher up into the vagina, fallopian tubes and womb areas that can lead to a pelvic inflammatory disease, PID. The beauty of this tool is the position of the holes forces water to run down the vagina, it does not spray up.
Therefore it is perfectly safe for us to use on a daily basis.
The second therapeutic action of this tool is the fact it is made out of stainless steel. As chefs around the globe know, when you handle fish, onions or garlic your fingers stink and washing in soapy water does not always remove the odor! To remove the odor chefs use stainless steel. They rub their fingers down the blade of a stainless steel knife under running water.
You can try this at home yourself the next time you peel garlic or onions. For whatever technical reason stainless steel removes odors. Therefore when you insert this stainless steel tool into your vagina you gently massage the stainless steel against the vaginal walls as the water is gently rinsing the area. This will help eliminate vaginal odors.
I have tried this product personally and I am very impressed with it. I now use it on a daily basis in my morning shower.
How to Use WaterWorks
You simply fill the supplied 32oz bag with warm water, attach the nozzle to the end of the tubing, insert it and release the flow of water. Very gently massage the walls of your vagina and allow the water to flush the area.
It takes just about a minute or two and I have to say I feel fresh and clean all day long! I have never douched before due to the danger of making matters worse by forcing water up into the higher female areas but this system is amazing, it is fast, easy and economical.
I immediately felt the benefit of using this product daily. For those with an active BV infection you should notice a decrease in odor within a few days to a week or so. With regular use you can start living and stop worrying about recurring BV infections and vaginal odor.
After use, you simply detach the nozzle, soak in warm soapy water and rinse, allow to air dry. The bag and hose you allow to drip dry before putting it away unless you can leave it in your shower area depending on your family circumstances. If you like to douche with apple cider vinegar or a bit of hydrogen peroxide this could be added to the water in the bag and it would be a safer way to douche than any method that sprays water up into the area.
However I would encourage you to try it with plain water first. If that fails to give you BV relief then add in the apple cider vinegar but only until the BV infection is cleared thereafter use fresh water only and this product should keep BV infections away.
If you are looking for a natural remedy product that will help keep you fresh and is completely safe to use, is doctor recommended than I encourage you to give it a try today. In my opinion this could be the BV cure you have been looking for.
Please note! This is not a use once and dispose of item as some people seem to think! Everything is reusable, the plastic medical grade bag and hose and the steel nozzle. With normal use this should last you many months and months without any issues. Eventually you may require a new hose or bag but the steel nozzle should never require replacing. This is a very cost-effective way to eliminate vaginal odor and to free yourself emotionally from the stigma of BV infections.
My WaterWorks review is my honest opinion of this feminine product for vaginal health. I have to say I simply love it!
Amazon WaterWorks Review
WaterWorks did supply me with the product in the hope I would like it and write a blog post giving my personal opinion on the benefits of using this item daily for the relief of vaginal odor.
They did stress this item is not to be claimed as a cure for BV infections, however it has been clinically proven to eliminate vaginal odor and is FDA cleared. The strong fishy odor caused by BV infections is the harmful bacteria.
By using it on a regular basis you can eliminate the smell and feel fresh and clean without harming the natural vaginal flora or risking PID. I love this product and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it to my family, friends and readers.
Any woman that has suffered from BV infections or any type of yeast infection knows the embarrassment of feeling ‘unclean’ you shower, scrub and maybe even spray and within minutes you are aware of discharge and the odor returning.
It is extremely frustrating to say the least! With WaterWorks you truly feel clean and fresh all day long. It is also ideal for use after your period as that too can leave a lingering odor.
Young or old, WaterWorks in my personal opinion is a must have for feminine hygiene. Used in conjunction with BV Freedom you can say goodbye to recurring BV infections forever!
Anyone looking for a natural cure for their recurring BV infections should give this product a try before resorting to some of the possibly dangerous ‘cures’ promoted online. This product uses plain water and stainless steel. Its 100% natural and clinically proven to eliminate vaginal odors.
If you have tried Waterworks, I would really appreciate hearing from you, please write your comments and experiences below!
Thanks to my readers for the wonderful feedback on this product! I am so happy to have helped you alleviate your BV problem. A few ladies stated they had trouble locating this amazing product from outside the USA, here are direct links to Amazon to help you find this odor eliminating tool.
Chronic Bacterial Vaginosis Freedom Review Reveals A Natural Treatment For Eliminating BV Infections Quickly And Easily In A Simple 3 Step Method
Recurring BV Infections
Chronic Bacterial Vaginosis or BV is a true pain in the you know where. Unfortunately this woman’s problem is a very common scenario where BV is concerned.
I cannot reiterate enough, antibiotics are not the answer to recurring BV infections. Let’s face it when we go to our doctor we take their advice and the prescription because they are the knowledgeable ones, they supposedly have the answer to our problems.
If you are offered antibiotics at the very least ask for the gel or cream antibiotic to insert into the vagina as this will have the least affect on your overall system. It will treat the affected area not zap the entire system.
However, as this woman has experienced, once you get on the antibiotic merry-go-round it is hard to get off!
Despite doing everything that could be humanly asked of her she still suffers with recurring BV infections.
All medications have their side effects. I too had been victim to being prescribed repeat antibiotic therapy many years ago and stupidly I didn’t question the doctors. I was naive where my own health was concerned.
Antibiotics can have horrible side effects.
So let’s start with some good sound advice.
How to Treat Recurring BV Infections
The stomach has been affected so start by eating yogurt with live active cultures. This will help populate the good bacteria in your stomach and gut to help regenerate a good flora.
Take a good probiotic orally as this will send billions of good bacteria to where it is needed throughout the digestive system.
This may sound like a double-whammy but I would also insert a probiotic into the vagina. A live yogurt or a probiotic, there are vaginal probiotic capsules available, use them just until you get things back into balance again. Vaginal Probiotics on Amazon.
There are so many things that can affect the vagina, the type of tampons or pads you use, the soap you wash with, the products you use to shower or bathe in.
- Avoid all perfumed products.
- Avoid using soaps in the vaginal area. I know this is a hard one as we want to eradicate the fishy odor of BV. The vagina is self-cleaning so all you need is water to wash the outer parts and leave the inside area to your body!
- Use all natural, scent free soaps for other areas of your body.
Feminine Protection and Recurring BV Infections
Take a look at your feminine protection. Some contain scents to mask the odor of your monthly period.
Try changing the type of products you use and see if that makes any difference to your BV symptoms.
Sometimes it could be a simple allergy to feminine products. Avoid using tampons until your BV is cleared up.
If possible try to use organic pads you can find them here on Amazon.
If using bath salts or additives stop now! This was the cause of my “antibiotic merry-go-round” as I like to call it. Not once did the doctor question me about what products I was using that could affect my vagina! Stupidly I didn’t connect the two until one day I was pouring the bath salts into my bath and the penny dropped.. duhh! I could have kicked myself but when you are busy working and looking after three little ones you sometimes fail to stop and think about what you are doing!
Finally take a look at your laundry detergent. Try changing to a different brand just for a few weeks . It is also a good idea to give your underwear another few rinses, maybe put them through a detergent free cycle again just to make sure the detergent isn’t triggering a reaction.
Chronic bacterial vaginosis is a pain but with perseverance you can cure recurring BV infections and get off that roller-coaster ride.
Could it be a Bacterial Vaginosis Infection Again?
Recurring BV Infections
This is a common question. The problem with taking a course of antibiotics is that it kills all the bacteria in your system, the good and bad bacteria and this leaves us vulnerable to any infection.
It is very common for women to suffer yeast infections after they have taken a course of antibiotics.
I try to avoid antibiotic use at all costs. Naturally antibiotics play a vital role in our healthcare however some doctors hand out prescriptions like candy.
It is not good for our systems to be completely zapped on a regular basis, it weakens our immune system. We need the good bacteria as our defense against the harmful bacteria.
A yeast infection will make you sore, itchy and is often associated with a thick discharge.
I highly recommend you start eating fresh live bacteria yogurt, look on the side of the tub and ensure it states live cultures. This will help replenish the good bacteria in your system. As stated in this previous post here a good probiotic is also essential.
I cannot categorically say whether or not you have another BV infection or a yeast/candida infection. If you recently finished the course of antibiotics then it is likely a yeast infection triggered by the antibiotics.
It is not healthy, in my opinion, to get another course of antibiotics, I would first try to heal the infection using natural home remedies for bv.
If the soreness is really bad, get some Canestan or Monistat cream and insert at night. This should help soothe the area.
Drink plenty of fluids, cranberry juice and water.
Take a probiotic daily
Eat yogurt daily
Insert a tampon dipped in plain Greek yogurt into the vagina for 3 to 4 hrs. As you are probably aware, tampons should not be left in at night due to the Toxic Shock Syndrome that can occur. So always change a tampon every three to four hours.
After sex, if possible sit in a warm bath with a cup or so of apple cider vinegar or 12 drops of tea tree oil.
A few soaks a week will help kill the bad bacteria.
We women need to be proactive and act as soon as we notice the first signs of problems ‘down below.’
If in doubt, check it out! If you cannot get rid of the infection or soreness in a week please see your health practitioner. Never ignore BV infections.

Bacterial Vaginosis or BV Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to our health no question is silly or stupid. Never feel embarrassed about asking questions, if we don’t know about a topic then always ask! Otherwise we may never know the answer! Here I put together some bacterial vaginosis faq’s. If they do not answer your question, please drop us an email or comment below and we will reply on site.
BV is a very common problem for women. One in three women will develop a BV infection at some time in their lives. Of those that do develop it, most will have recurring infections. A recurring BV infection is when you have about 4 bouts of bacterial vaginosis a year.
BV is caused by an overgrowth of the harmful bacteria in your vagina. We have good and bad bacteria, in a normal vaginal flora the good bacteria keep the harmful bacteria under control.
Something happens to offset this balance allowing the baddies or harmful bacteria to grow out of control.
The smell associated with a BV infection, that rancid fishy smell, is the harmful bacteria.
Therefore all the scrubbing , soaking, cleaning and perfumes in the world will not mask the odor. You need to eliminate the overgrowth by increasing the amount of good bacteria in your nether regions. We need to restore a perfect balance of bacteria. Only then will you eradicate the smell and symptoms of BV such as vaginal discharge and itchiness.
The problem with antibiotics is they kill off all bacteria good and bad. When this happens you are left vulnerable to other vaginal infections such as a yeast infection.
Also it is not safe to take too many antibiotics. They weaken your immune system so it is important to find a natural way to control your BV infections.
Due to the nature of BV infections, a simple imbalance of bacteria can trigger an outbreak, it is impossible for us to say you can be permanently cured.
However, you know your body best. You know the triggers. You may notice your BV infection begins after your period or after sex. Therefore you need to be proactive and start a regime that will maintain a natural vaginal flora at these vulnerable times.
A good idea is to sit in a nice warm bath with 12 drops of tea tree oil or add some vinegar to your bathwater.
This will help eliminate the harmful bacteria. If your period is a trigger for your bv infections have several soaks throughout your period and a few days afterwards.
Avoid perfumed soaps and cleansers.
This natural treatment for BV should become part of your daily routine if you have recurring bv infections.
The problems with showering is we don’t always cleanse ourselves sufficiently.
I remember watching that TV show Embarrassing Bodies. They demonstrated in one show how badly people cleansed themselves in showers.
They took swabs of certain areas, groin, armpits etc before and after a shower. It was incredible the amount of bacteria they found in nether regions still there after showering.
Now I don’t want you to panic, and rush off to shower again! In normal healthy people this is not harmful. But, in my opinion, there may be some correlation with this stubborn harmful bacteria as being the cause for recurring BV infections in women.
A good tip is to perhaps have a weekly soak or two in the tub in addition to your daily showering. It can’t hurt right?
Stick to a healthy diet, fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid processed foods and sugars. Take a good multivitamin and probiotic and eat fresh yogurt every day and this will help prevent recurring BV infections.
Do You Suffer With Recurring Bacterial Vaginosis Infections?
The unpleasant discharge and smell makes a woman feel very unfeminine and dirty no matter how many times a day she bathes.
As a fellow sufferer I have made it my goal in life to discover the facts and find solutions to end the suffering caused by a BV infection.
Bacterial vaginosis is a mild vaginal infection caused by an overgrowth of bacteria. It causes a strong smelling discharge, some say a fishy smell, it is definitely not pleasant!
The smell becomes stronger after sexual intercourse which tends to make lovemaking very awkward for both parties.
Women that experience recurring bacterial vaginosis need to commence a regime to conquer this infection once and for all.
There are many over-the counter remedies for BV infections, though they are not labeled as such.
When taken together they help strengthen your immune system and create natural flora in the vagina. When we have natural flora the bacteria are kept in check. It is the imbalance that triggers a BV infection.
Here are some do’s and don’ts to help prevent recurring bacterial vaginosis.
Douching is the introduction of fluids into the vagina, it can be plain water, vinegar and water and some women use tea tree oil in water.
Whilst vinegar is an amazing healing agent when fluids are pumped into the vagina they push the bacteria higher up into the cervix area and this may let the bacteria access the fallopian tubes and uterus.
Once an infection involves these areas it is termed a PID, pelvic inflammatory disease. This can lead to damage to the fallopian tubes and later left untreated can cause infertility. It is also a very painful condition.
I know when you have that horrible smell coming from the vagina we just want to wash it out with soap and water, but trust me, this is not the answer. It will make matters worse.
The Do list for Recurring Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment
- Do Sit in Warm Baths with 1 cup of Epsom salts or 12 drops of tea tree oil. It will help soothe the area and fight the infection. A couple of times a week is fine. It will also make you feel fresher
- When you have a BV infection, at night take one acidophilus tablet and insert it into the vagina. Do this every night for 7 days. Stop after 7 days. This will help restore the natural flora of the vagina.
Doing this more than seven days will produce too much of the good bacteria which is just as harmful as the bad bacteria! The idea here is to create balance.
- Take a good probiotic internally, preferably the kind that needs to be kept refrigerated.
- Take a good multivitamin.
- Women of child-bearing age may find it beneficial to also take folic acid.
- Drink plenty of water and add a couple of glasses of cranberry juice daily. Cranberry juice not cocktail.
One final thing to examine is your sugar intake. Some women swear sugar triggers a BV infection. So monitor the foods you eat and see if you can discover any food stuff that triggers a BV infection.
Doctors are clueless as to what triggers BV infections so we have to keep alert and take notes of any changes we have made to our diets prior to having a recurring bacterial vaginosis infection.
What Natural Home Remedies for Bacterial Vaginosis are There?
It’s a case of trial an error but in future posts we will discuss ways of preventing BV infections. Simple things you can do to lower your risk of recurring bacterial vaginosis.
Now be warned if you start searching the internet for home remedies for bacterial vaginosis you are going to come across some weird things women are stuffing up their whoo whoo’s.
Personally I do not recommend you go that route. Some things make sense, others simply do not.
Let’s start with the basics. My sister-in-law happens to be a medical doctor and she sees tons of women suffering with cystitis and vaginal infections. I asked her what is the one thing you would tell your patients to do in order to avoid these infections. Her response was water, water and more water!
She said women simply are not drinking enough water! If you increased your fluid intake you greatly reduce your chances of having a vaginal infection especially a UTI. (urinary tract infection) She also strongly advises we drink cranberry juice. Water and cranberry juice will reduce your risks of infections, our bodies need water to operate efficiently.
Aside from drinking plenty of fluids, here are some natural remedies for bacterial vaginosis.
Again, use common sense when trying these;
Home Remedies for Bacterial Vaginosis
Tea Tree Oil for Bacterial Vaginosis
Tea tree oil is used by some women to cure their BV infection. Tea tree oil is natures antibiotic and has anti fungal properties.
It is toxic if taken by mouth! Do not ingest tea tree oil! Do not confuse tea tree oil with tea oil which is used in cooking. Studies have shown tea tree oil is capable of killing MRSA.
Be aware tea tree oil can/may cause an allergic reaction when applied directly to skin.
Take warm baths with 12 drops of tea tree oil every other day.
Some women add tea tree oil to a cotton swab and wipe the vaginal opening.
Douche -50/50 Hydrogen Peroxide or distilled water with 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.
Personally I don’t think douching is the answer as it forces the fluid up into the vagina and may spread the infection into the womb and/or fallopian tubes.
Natural Yogurt Home Remedy for Bacterial Vaginosis
Natural yogurt contains live cultures (bacteria) that are the good guys. You should eat fresh live yogurt daily. This will help replenish the good bacteria, lactobacillus in your gut and digestive tract. Check the label and make sure it states live cultures.
Natural yogurt can also be inserted into the vagina to replenish the good bacteria. Use a syringe to insert the yogurt at night and shower off in the morning.
Some doctors advise you to dip a tampon in a tub of Greek yogurt and to insert this for up to four hours. Replace as required.
Probiotics for BV
Take a good probiotic
A good probiotic is one that has live cultures and often has to be kept refrigerated. These are excellent for your whole system and are essential when you are or have taken a course of antibiotics.
Choose a good, high quality probiotic as these really are the most effective.
Vitamin D3 – Home Remedies for Bacterial Vaginosis
Most of us could do with adding vitamin D3 to our daily intake. Vitamin D3 has some amazing health benefits besides building strong bones and tissue.
Lack of D3 has been thought to allow infections and illness to occur.
1,000 mg a day is sufficient, during a BV infection you can easily double or triple this amount.
I take 4,000mg daily as I was found to be deficient on a recent blood test. How many people actually get tested for this?
Garlic, The Best Home Remedy for Bacterial Vaginosis
Garlic was always my mother’s answer for all infections. Natures antibiotic garlic has some wondrous healing properties.
You can either eat garlic whole or in capsule form, even odorless garlic capsules are very effective.
Again for those that wish to try (desperate times calls for desperate measures!) garlic can be inserted into the vagina for an effective cure for bacterial vaginosis.
Take a clove of peeled garlic, slice incisions into the clove to release the juices and insert into the vagina.
Now again I do not advocate inserting objects into the vagina! My worry would be what happens if this fails to come out! It would be humiliating to have to go to your doctors to have him find a clove of garlic in your whoo whoo LOL But women have used this method and swear by it as a home remedy for bacterial vaginosis.
I do however highly recommend eating fresh garlic cloves daily or the capsule form. Garlic is also excellent for cardiovascular health.
Take a good, high quality multivitamin daily. Believe it or not many of us are vitamin deficient due to the highly processed foods we consume. So a multivitamin is essential.
Please feel free to share your home remedies for bacterial vaginosis, comment below.
What is the Best Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment?
Bacterial vaginosis is a mild infection of the vagina caused by an overgrowth of bacteria. When the balance of good bacteria and the ‘bad’ bacteria is off balance the bad bacteria grows out of control and bacterial vaginosis symptoms occur.
As discussed in a previous post here, the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis are extremely uncomfortable and upsetting to a woman and probably her partner too!
No-one wants to go around smelling like a rancid fish! It is embarrassing and not a topic one can talk about easily to friends and family.
The cause of bacterial vaginosis is unknown. It is not a sexually transmitted disease. It is not from poor hygiene or from having multiple sexual partners although sometimes a change in sex partner can trigger BV in some cases.
In order to medically diagnose BV the patient with bacterial vaginosis symptoms will undergo a pelvic exam. Your doctor will visually examine the vaginal walls and take swabs of the discharge.
Examination of the discharge if positive for BV will reveal cells coated with bacteria that are known as ‘clue cells.” The PH of the discharge will often be greater than 4.5 indicating BV. At this time your doctor may also take swabs to test for other infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea just to eliminate them as culprits.
What is the Standard Medical Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment?
Once diagnosed as bacterial vaginosis, the traditional medical bacterial vaginosis treatment is two types of antibiotics. Metronidazole (Flagyl), this can be given orally in pill form or as a gel that you apply to the vagina. The choice is generally yours to make.
The second option is clindamycin, this too can be taken orally as a pill or in cream form to be inserted into the vagina.
The problem with antibiotics is that they do a great job in eradicating bacteria, in fact they do not discern between the good guys and the bad guys. They kill them all!
This creates another problem for the poor old vagina! Many women , myself included, suffer from a very sore vagina after taking a course of antibiotics. This is because all the good bacteria has been killed off leaving the vagina susceptible to a bout of yeast infection or candida.
Women that suffer recurring bouts of BV need to be careful about over-doing the antibiotics.
It is not good for our systems to take several doses of antibiotics a year.
Therefore it is imperative you find a bacterial vaginosis treatment that do not involve constant use of antibiotics.
Is there a Home Remedy for Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment?
There are many natural treatments for BV. What works for one woman may not necessarily work for another.
The trick is to try various methods to see which treatment for BV works for you.
So now we know what BV is, that the cause is unknown other than an over-growth of bacteria. We know the complications that can arise from BV, and we know the medical treatment for BV.
Now we are going to move forward and discover effective natural treatments for bacterial vaginosis. If you have suffered with Bv and have found a good bacterial vaginosis treatment, please share here.
